One Love: The IKEA Leather Karlstad Sofa

Overarching Lamp - West Elm :: Karlstad Sofa - IKEA :: Panama Braid rug - West Elm
We got a new sofa! And we LOVE IT. The size is perfect, the price was great, the leather is nice (and allows for super easy cleaning when living with dogs), it was amazingly easy to assemble, and look how light and bright and clean the living room looks now! (For a view of the LR-Before Sofa, check the photo from the One Love: Bliss Pillow post). To top it all off, it goes great with the other new additions to the living room, the Overarching Lamp and the Panama Braided rug, both from West Elm. Bring on the summer--we're ready!

  5. Well done! This is a beautiful space. We've been thinking of investing in the leather Karlstad and found this via Google images. We currently have a 3 seater Karlstad and are delighted with it, and are going to move it up to our TV room.

One thing we did do differently was we replaced the legs with turned dowel legs that are mid century modern style. It made quite an improvement on the appearance of the sofa. I think they'd be outstanding on yours...perhaps in an ebony finish!

  6. I just found your blog when I googled this sofa and absolutely I love your design style. I actually just bought this sofa this weekend after coveting it for months and I have been looking for some bright pillows to go with it just like yours. This is totally inspiring!

  10. I have been looking at this same configuration, and was wondering how the leather has held up over time? I LOVE Ikea but I've never purchased anything that would get this much use (and cost this much money). Thanks in advance!

  11. This is not leather btw..unless 100% leather manufacturers and stores should be forbidden from using that word

  12. Hi Jill! Thanks for sharing. It looks beautiful. I am also wondering how the couch is holding up after a few years?
